Only six days until election day. This is proving to be an historical and exciting election. For political junkies such as myself, exciting elections like this are akin to the Super Bowl for football fans.
Like the Super Bowl there are two teams on the field battling it out for control of the ball. Each team trying to move it from one end of the field to the other. In the end zone for the team in blue (Democrats) is more government control and more taxes. In the end zone for the team in red (Republicans) is less government and lower taxes.
For far too long it seems that both teams have been playing on the blue team's end of the field. Election after election, even with the team in red in control of the ball, I have watched as our players have fumbled the ball and moved us further and further towards the blue team's end zone.
For the first time in my adult life, thanks to the Tea Party folks, we have a new red team roster filled with players that want to take the ball past the 50 yard line and down field towards less government and lower taxes. This is making for a truly exciting match up on Tuesday.
