Tax Freedom Day

April 13th will mark Tax freedom day in America this year. For those of you who do not know what Tax Freedom Day is, this day marks the day when the average American has worked enough days to pay their tax bill to Federal, State, and local government. Think about this. Every hour that you have worked and every Dollar that you have earned from January 1st until this upcoming Monday will go to pay government. That means that nearly three and a half months of your life each year is dedicated to funding government. How much more are you willing to pay? How many more months of your life do you think the government deserves?

Of course doesn't that mean that the next months after that, we get to live in this amazing country, essentially for FREE?

I agree with you that this is an amazing country, but I disagree with the rest of your comment. Under your logic prepaid cell phone minutes used in June are free because you paid for them in January.
